Pei-hwang Shen, Director General of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Chicago, made his first visit to the Chinese Mutual Aid Association on February 11, 2010.

The Teipei Economic and Cultural Office are long time friends, and partners, with CMAA. Pei-hwang Shen filled the position of Director General of the Teipei Economic and Cultural Office after the previous Director General – Thomas Cheng – departed from the title for a different position in Finland.

Pei-hwang Shen, and others from the Teipei Economic and Cultural Office, were humbly greeted by Laura Lee, CMAA’s Board President, Steve Brunton, Executive Director, Yman Vien, Honorary Chairwoman of CMAA's Board of Directors, and other CMAA staff and participants. They were welcomed with speeches given by staff, songs presented by CMAA’s Golden Age Club, and wonderful food.
